Horske & Dogke Racing

Hey farmers! Two stadiums, a racing hour every 3 hours, and two ways to bet: gold from your farm, or real HORSKE on Ronin. Here's everything you need before your first bet.

Testers first, then everyone HORSKE on Ronin mainnet

The two stadiums

The Racecourse north of Ronke Village: the Horske Stadium's green track and grandstand, and below it the Dogke Stadium's red track, with the runners lined up at the gates
The Horske Stadium and, just below it, the Dogke Stadium. Walk up to a stadium door to open its window.

Horske Stadium

The horses. 8 horskes line up for every race, and 10 races run in each racing hour, one every 6 minutes.

Dogke Stadium

The dogs. 6 dogkes line up for every race, and 5 races run in each racing hour, one every 12 minutes.

Nobody owns a racer yet: every horske and every dogke belongs to one of our villagers. Every runner has a rating. The higher it is, the better its chance, but any runner can win on the day, and ratings move a little after every race, so keep an eye on form.

Every race runs live on the stadium's track. Missed it? WATCH RACE in the window replays the last one.

When to race

Racing hours

Racing happens in racing hours. A racing hour starts every 3 hours: 00:00, 03:00, 06:00 and so on until 21:00 UTC. Both stadiums race for that hour, then the track rests for a 2-hour break, and it all starts again.

Dogke Stadium5 races, one every 12 minutes: 3, 15, 27, 39 and 51 minutes in
  • Betting closes 1 minute before each race starts.
  • Bet early: during a break, the first race of the next racing hour already takes bets.
  • No bets, no race: a race nobody bets on is skipped, and the results say so.

The “Your time” column needs JavaScript. The stadium window always shows times on your own clock.

The village tells you

No need to watch the clock: when a race is about to start, a notice pops up in the village with its start time. Tap it and you walk straight to that stadium.

Gold or HORSKE

Two ways to bet

A switch at the top of the stadium window flips between GOLD and HORSKE. Either way, you pick a runner and back it to WIN, or to finish in the TOP 3.

GoldHORSKE
What it isThe coins from your farm, as beforeThe real HORSKE token on Ronin mainnet, from your own Ronin Wallet, never from your game balance
What a win paysFixed odds, locked the moment you betA share of the pot: all HORSKE bets on a race make one pot for WIN and one for TOP 3, and the winners share it
The village's shareBuilt into the odds10% house fee; winners never get back less than their bet
How much10 to 2,000 gold on one race; one race pays you at most 25,000 gold11,300 to 225,000 HORSKE a bet (about $0.50 to $10), and at most 225,000 HORSKE per wallet on one race
When you winThe gold lands on your farm after the raceYour winnings wait in the stadium's CLAIM list until you claim them
The Horske Stadium on HORSKE: Race 3 of 10, starts in 2:40, racing ends 13:00; Blue Thunder selected, the 22.5K chip picked, pays about 30,133 HORSKE right now, BET 22,500 HORSKE and the fee line
HORSKE: pick a runner, WIN or TOP 3 and a chip, then BET. Each chip shows what it's worth in dollars.
The same race on GOLD: the runners with their fixed odds, Ronke Rocket selected at x4.85, a 100 gold stake that pays 485 gold
Gold: the same race, with fixed odds.

WIN or TOP 3?

  • WIN: your runner has to finish first.
  • TOP 3: your runner has to finish first, second or third. It comes in more often, so it pays less.

The WIN % next to each runner is its chance to win, worked out from its rating.

The Dogke Stadium on HORSKE: Race 2 of 5, six dogkes from Muscle Mutt to Tater Tot, the 45K chip picked and BET 45,000 HORSKE
The Dogke Stadium works the same way: 6 dogkes, 5 races in each racing hour.
Step by step

Your first HORSKE bet

  1. Get your wallet readyYou need RON for gas and HORSKE in your Ronin Wallet, on Ronin mainnet. The rest of the game still runs on Ronin's testnet while we test; HORSKE racing is the one part on mainnet.
  2. Open a stadiumWalk up to the door and flip the switch to HORSKE.
  3. Pick your betA runner, WIN or TOP 3, and a chip.
  4. Tap BETYour Ronin Wallet asks you to confirm: first to let the race take exactly your stake, then the bet itself. Each step costs a little RON for gas.
  5. Watch the raceThen open RESULTS and claim what you won.

The five chips

11.3K≈ $0.50 22.5K≈ $1 45K≈ $2 112.5K≈ $4.99 225K≈ $9.98

The dollar values are a guide. They follow a HORSKE price we set and update; the real price moves.

The first bet on a race opens that race on Ronin, so it takes a few extra seconds. The window says OPENING ON RONIN… while it does.

“Pays about … right now” is an estimate. The pot keeps changing until betting closes, so your final share can be higher or lower.

Simple and fair

The house fee

10% house fee — winners never get back less than their bet.

The village keeps 10% of a pot, but never more than the losing bets put in. So if you backed the winner, you always get at least your bet back.

  • Nobody picked the winner? There's no fee, and everyone gets their HORSKE back.
  • Everyone backed the same runner, and it won? Nobody lost, so there's no fee: everyone gets exactly their bet back.

How a pot pays an example

Say 100,000 HORSKE is bet on WIN in a race, and 25,000 of it backed the horske that wins. The house keeps 10% (10,000), so 90,000 is shared by everyone who backed the winner, in proportion to their bet.

You put in 11,300 of those 25,000, so you get 11,300 ÷ 25,000 × 90,000 = 40,680 HORSKE: your 11,300 back plus 29,380.

TOP 3 works the same way, with its own pot shared by everyone who backed any of the first three.

How a winner is picked

Fair results

The whole finishing order comes from one random number that nobody knows while betting is open: not you, and not us. Gold and HORSKE bets on a race share that same result.

Races with HORSKE bets

Drawn by Ronin VRF, the verifiable randomness service on Ronin. After betting closes, the race contract asks it for a random number. The number comes with a proof that is checked on chain, and it's recorded on Ronin, where anyone can look it up.

Gold-only races

Drawn from a secret number we lock in before anyone bets, mixed with a Ronin block made after betting closes. Nobody can know that block in advance.

Check any race. The RESULTS tab shows how the last race was drawn: the VRF request and its result, or the secret and the Ronin block it was mixed with.

To be clear: like anything on a blockchain, this relies on Ronin and its VRF service doing their job. What we can promise is that we never pick a winner by hand, and a race is only called off for a reason you can check on Ronin.

Getting paid

Claiming your HORSKE

The RESULTS tab: the last race's top three, YOUR HORSKE TO CLAIM with a win, a refund and another win, the line Winnings and refunds wait for you, they never expire, and one CLAIM 106,334 HORSKE button
RESULTS: everything waiting for you, and one CLAIM button for all of it.

HORSKE winnings don't arrive by themselves. They wait for you in the stadium window: open RESULTS and look under YOUR HORSKE TO CLAIM. A number on the RESULTS tab tells you how many are waiting.

  1. Tap CLAIMOne button collects everything waiting: wins and refunds, from both stadiums.
  2. Confirm in your walletClaiming costs a little RON for gas.
  3. DoneThe HORSKE goes to the wallet you bet from.

No rush: winnings and refunds never expire.

Gold is different: gold winnings land on your farm by themselves after the race.

Good to know

Refunds, limits and airdrops

If a race is called off

Ronin VRF usually answers within half a minute. If it ever stalls and no result comes within 2 hours, the race is called off: every HORSKE bet on it becomes a refund you can claim, and gold bets go straight back to your farm.

Limits while we test

  • At most 225,000 HORSKE per wallet on one race.
  • Each race's pot has a cap while we test. When it's full, the window says POT FULL.

HORSKE airdrops

If you claimed a HORSKE airdrop in the last 30 days, betting it may affect your eligibility for future HORSKE airdrops.

Testers first

The racecourse opens to our testers first, then to everyone. We'll say it here and in the community the moment it opens.

Bet for fun, and only what you're happy to lose.

On Ronin mainnet

Look it up yourself

Every HORSKE bet goes into the race contract on Ronin mainnet, not to a wallet of ours. The contract holds each race's pots, and pays out winnings and refunds when you claim.
